Chapter 2.02 - Wards and Voting Precincts
2.01.01 Boundaries. The corporate limits of the City shall be declared to be such as have been legally established and amended by law and ordinances of the City as shown on the official map on file in the office of the Finance Officer. Such map shall be incorporated in this ordinance by reference and adopted as the official map showing the boundaries and limits of the City. (SDCL 9-3-2, SDCL 9-4-1)
CHAPTER 2.02 - WARDS AND VOTING PRECINCTS
2.02.01 Wards and Voting Precincts. The City shall be divided into 2 wards, which shall be combined and consolidated into 1 election precinct, and shall be designated respectively as Ward 1 and Ward 2. A map illustrating the boundaries and location of each ward is kept on file with the Finance Officer at City Hall. Ward 1 shall encompass that portion of the City lying north of Willow Street or east of Fourth Avenue or south of Ash Street. Ward 2 shall encompass that portion of the City lying south of Willow Street and west of Fourth Avenue and north of Ash Street.
