PUBLIC NOTICE 
NOTICE is hereby given that the governing body of the City of Canistota, McCook County, South 
Dakota sitting as a “Review Board” will meet in the Community Room of City Hall in said taxing 
jurisdiction at 6:00 PM on Monday the 16th of March, 2026 for the purposes of reviewing the 
assessment notices for the year 2026. 
An appeal to the local board of equalization shall be perfected by mailing or by filing a WRITTEN 
notice of appeal with the Finance Officer of the local Board of Equalization.  Any property 
owner wanting to appeal their assessment to the City of Canistota Review Board MUST FILE 
their notice in writing NO LATER than 4 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026 to the City of Canistota, 
PO Box 67, Canistota, SD  57012.
