The City of Canistota contracts with the Humane Society for animal control.
Pet tags are available at the finance office. All pets must be licensed. The fee to license a pet is $10.00 and proof of rabies vaccination must be provided.. Pet licenses expire every January.

REMINDER- Please submit the $10 fee per pet and a copy of your pet (dog and cat) shot records to the Finance Office by January 31 to have your pet registered with the City of Canistota. All animals kept a pets in the City shall be licensed and registered if over two months of age and must be renewed annually by January 31.
